The Collier County Sheriff’s Department visited Gargiulo Education Center with 8 uniformed sheriffs. They came with a patrol car, cyclist, 2 uniformed motorcycle sheriffs. Each group of students participated in group discussion about crime, bullying, and other concerns that they may have had. The students were able to sit in the cars, ‘be arrested and put in the back seat’, hear the sirens, lights, and horns. The most excitement came about when the motorcycle sheriffs turned on their engines, revved them, and took off after they received an emergency call.
