A Table at Le Cirque Seaside 2022

This year’s annual gala honoring Wendy & Brian Washkewicz of the Washkewicz Family Foundation and tribute to Sirio Maccioni was a huge success raising $398,000 thanks to you and your support of the children and the program GEC provides to them. Please enjoy these photos & highlights from the evening.

THE PERFORMANCES

The Children gave beautiful performances throughout the night. Thanks to our SMART and Music programs, children learn to express themselves in many creative ways and this was definitely a grateful display of how your support helps these programs thrive.

OUR HONOREES

The evening honored Bryan and Wendy Washkewicz of the Washkewicz Family Foundation for their commitment to the Gargiulo Education Center. Brian and Wendy were presented with a special gift from the children of the center in recognition of all they do for GEC. Please take a moment to watch their acceptance of the award below.

THE AUCTION

There were truly some once-in-a-lifetime experiences up for grabs during the live auction led by Mike O’Meara. From a private home in Napa and vineyard tours seldom open to the public to exclusive dining experiences with some of the world’s top chefs who all got their start at LeCirque.

A Tribute to Sirio

Sirio Maccioni was a towering legend who led his restaurant Le Cirque through multiple decades serving celebrities, politicians, foreign dignitaries, and the social elite of New York . . . to name a few. We were honored to have his son Mauro, who was moved to tears,  with us to share in his memory and honor him by establishing a scholarship in his name.

THE FUN

Thank you to all our donors who helped make this night a huge success. We hope you all had as much fun as we did.

THE ART

Working with the GEC students New York artist Stephen Zaluski created one-of-a-kind My Intention sculptures for each table in order to share the important work of the center’s SMART Program, building emotional intelligence led by our very own coach Mike to support our student’s well-being. In addition to the statues, every guest received a handmade My Intent bracelet on their place setting which included words that the children choose to represent their feelings.
